One Book One Province

One Book One Province is an exciting new project Libraries Nova Scotia plan to launch in October 2012.  Many places around the world have successfully carried out community wide reading events such as Calgary, Hamilton, and Prince Edward Island.  Now it’s Nova Scotia’s turn!

Designed to foster a love of reading, “unity reading” – many people reading the same book, encourages discussion and excitement about a book.
Public libraries, university and community college libraries, Nova Scotia Provincial Library, as well as booksellers and the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia are working together on the One Book One Province initiative.

The book has not yet been selected so stay tuned for more information on how you and your community can participate in Libraries Nova Scotia’s One Book One Province!
